Go-To-Market Engineer - Internship (m/f/d)
You will have the exciting opportunity of gaining valuable experience in a start-up environment and contribute to reducing 4.4% of global CO₂ emissions.
The role
We're looking for a GTM Engineer Intern to join Podero. Someone who is half commercial thinker, half builder. You'll work directly with our sales and marketing team to identify manual processes, design AI-powered solutions, ship them, and measure what works.
This is a greenfield project. There's no existing automation stack to inherit. You're starting on blank paper. To build the right things, you need to deeply understand our customers, our product, how our pipeline works, and how our marketing generates demand. Then you design workflows that embed directly into how the team operates, not as side projects but as core infrastructure.
This is one of the first roles at Podero that truly builds on AI's newest capabilities. You should be AI-native. Using AI in all of your work, staying current on the latest models and tools, and always thinking about what just became possible that wasn't last month. You'll get unlimited AI credits to work with.
What you'll do
Build AI-powered workflows that automate outbound, lead processing, data enrichment, CRM operations, content workflows, and admin tasks
Design automations that surface the right information at the right time: next-best actions, follow-up triggers, deal context, customer signals
Connect tools across our stack (HubSpot, Lusha, and beyond) through integration platforms like Make, n8n, and APIs or just build it yourself with Claude
Track impact through concrete metrics: pipeline generated, conversion improvements
Own what you build: monitor, debug, and improve your automations over time
What we're looking for
Commercial intuition: you think about processes in terms of customers and revenue, not just technical implementation
AI-native: you already use AI tools daily and stay current on new models, tools, and what they make possible
Curiosity and systems thinking: you approach every process like a detective, enjoy figuring out how tools and workflows connect, and naturally break complex things into clear, logical steps
Experimental mindset: you know how to test ideas quickly, validate what works, and iterate based on feedback
Builder instinct: you don't need to be a developer, but you need a strong understanding of what should be built and the different possible ways to get there: tools, APIs, integrations, AI models
Problem spotter: you notice inefficiencies before anyone points them out, and you design solutions, ship prototypes, and scale what works
Ownership mentality: when you see something that could be better, you propose it and take it on
Based in Vienna or willing to relocate
Nice to have
Experience with CRMs (HubSpot or similar) beyond just using them as a user
Familiarity with integration platforms like Make or n8n
Experience building LLM-powered automations or working with AI APIs
Background in or interest in SaaS, energy, or B2B environments

About Podero
Energy suppliers face many challenges in their B2C business, including low margins, low differentiation of their electricity offers, emerging market players, unprofitable electricity trading, and limited IT resources.
Podero is a software platform for utilities that reduces the energy cost of flexible consumer devices like heat pumps, EVs and chargers, inverters, and home batteries by over 25%. Utilities roll out Podero using our white-label web app or integrating our API into their apps. Podero steers devices based on consumers’ PV production, fluctuating spot electricity prices, and the grid-stabilizing balancing energy markets. Podero enables utilities to trade the aggregate device power on the energy markets, ensuring a win-win situation for both utilities and consumers.
Customers of Podero include E.ON, TotalEnergies, oekostrom, KELAG, and more.
